Conventional Pistol Postal Match (CPPM)

This event is conducted at the Indoor Range from November through April on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday the month. Registration starts at 5:00PM and the first relay starts at 6:30PM.

CPPM is a postal match sponsored by the NRA nationwide with match scores tallied by the NRA Competition Diviision in December and scores posted the first part of the following year. There are 9 practice matches with the 10th being shot for score and the targets are mailed to Fairfax, VA for official scoring.

Sixty-Five (65) .22 Long Rifle rounds from either a revolver or a pistol are shot at NRA V2 and V3 targets 50 feet from the shooter. The shooter is challenged with a combination of shooting conditions.

Slow Fire, 10 rounds in 10 minutes

 Timed-Fire, 5 rounds in 20 seconds

Rapid Fire, 5 rounds in 10 seconds.

This activity is a very good way to begin shooting a handgun in competition because this is a low pressure fun filled event. The shooter uses a revolver or pistol chambered for 22 long rifle with a maximum barrel length is 10 inches and no laser sights are allowed.

Registation for the NRA match is $10.00 and each match fee is $5.00. Two Club Semi-Automatic Pistols will be available at Matches that Gary B(Edit) is able to attend.  Gary will provide information on the ammunition that must be used in these pistols.
