MEMBERSHIP
Membership in the Club stands at 925 members including Life Members. Invoices for May renewals were mailed in April.
Annual dues in the Club are at $60.00. The work assessment annually is also $60.00.
If your dues are paid by the “due date” printed on your renewal invoice, you will receive a “Guest Pass” back in the mail with your new membership card. More detail about the Guest Pass can be found in the “Your Board Room” article.
Please keep in mind that the Club still accepts credit cards for dues and fees. Although the Club Renewal Invoice doesn’t mention payment methods, credit cards, checks, money orders and cash are all acceptable. Heck, we’ve even been known to take an IOU or two. If you’d like to use a credit card, just jot down your credit card number and expiration date on the invoice and return it.
We need active members to serve as sponsors for our new probationary members. If you have some time, please consider serving as a sponsor. Call the office for more details.
Are you looking for a way to earn a work assessment credit for the year? VOLUNTEER TO BE A CLUB SPONSOR.
If your Club card shows a May expiration date, and you did not receive an invoice, please call the office at:

Per the Club’s By-laws - Junior’s can range in age from 8 to 21. Membership is $20.00 per year. The Junior’s meet every Monday @ 5:00 PM at the Indoor Range in McBean Park. A Range fee of $1.00 for each relay session is currently collected from each shooter. The Junior’s Season runs with the school year from September to May. News (By Bill P[Edit] The Junior Division is beginning to wrap up the 2007/2008 shooting year and heading for the outdoor range in May. The last 3 weeks of Monday nights will be spent shooting clays at 50 meters. This is a lot of fun for the young marksman (and markswomenJ) as it gets them out in the sunshine and allows them to test their skills with the elements of nature. Come on out and see them and get some work credit for your volunteer help if your free. The relays begin at 5 PM and end at dusk. On the competition side of the house we had 3 Juniors recently compete at the Junior Olympics at the Colorado Springs Olympic training center. This year, they did very well with Jacob C[Edit] placing 8th overall in the Mens 50 meter Smallbore prone event and taking home a medal as 3rd J2. This was Jacobs first time at the JO’s, and his performance was outstanding. Jacob also placed 59th in Air Rifle and 45th in 3P Smallbore. Kaitlin P[Edit] placed 18th in Womens air rifle just 1 point shy of 3rd J2 and 6 points short of a slot in the finals. Brooke N[Edit] placed 51st in Air rifle with a solid finish as well. A new young competitor has also emerged as of late and competed at the State championship 4P smallbore match in Modesto last month. Elizabeth P[Edit] competed for the first time after only one month off the block. She performed extremely well and will be the one to watch in the coming year. Her family is also very supportive to the program and has helped organize us tremendously. Congratulations to her and “the family” for a job well done. The Coaches are trying to find 3 additional sub-junior competitors to join Elizabeth for next year’s competitions. This young new team will keep our competitive team going strong for years to come. We also have some good news on our American Legion Air Rifle (Continued on page 4) |
