The Club Varmint March is gearing up to start in June and continue through September.  The matches are held on the fourth Friday of each month, June through September.  Set up starts about 4:30 pm and shooting starts shortly after.  Bring any center-fire rifle with any site (scope is recommended).  You will be shooting the little target critters at 100,165, 200 and 220 yards.  Twenty rounds are shot for score, five at each distance.  No sighter shots are permitted on the targets, but you will have an opportunity to shoot a fowling shot at the berm.  Shooters can shoot from any position including the bench and are permitted to use tripods to support the front of the rifle.  The butt of the rifle must be supported by the shooter.  Come on now, you have to do some of the work.  The cost is $5.00 per shooter for each relay.

 

This is a fun and challenging match.  I encourage you to come give it a try.  Just in case we have a tie score, little targets are placed at ridiculously long ranges for the shoot-off and that’s when the REAL FUN begins.  Call Club Headquarters at (916) 434-0308 for more information.
