Firearm’s Safety Training Class

 

The Lincoln Rifle Club sponsors a firearms safety class for no cost to members and prospective members.  The class was put together for our Probationary Members back in May 2007,  when our membership procedures changed.  Since May, the safety class has evolved into a very nice 90 minute presentation that reminds us all about the “basic safety” rules we think we know by heart and follow all the time.  This class brings home to each student the fact that “we don’t know it all, and we frequently violate the rules.”

 

This presentation uses power point, group discussion, and sports a wonderful selection of firearm safety brochures and handouts.  The class is designed to be interactive and is well worth your time.  Since May, the class has been faithfully offered every 2nd Saturday of the Month at the Indoor Range at 0900 hours.  This month, no one showed up to take advantage of this class offering.  To avoid the expense and effort connected with the presentation of the class, we will now be asking that perspective attendees pre-register for the class.
