SUPPORT OUR SPORT

 

The Club’s very first SUPPORT OUR SPORT (S.O.S.) fundraising dinner and auction is coming up on Friday, September 5th, at 6:00 p.m. in the Pavilion Building at McBean Park. We have food, firearms, door prizes, raffle items, games, prizes, drinks, cake, and a few surprises all set to go. ALL WE NEED NOW IS YOU.

 

This fund raiser has been planned to provide additional financial support for our Club’s Junior Program, maintenance of our Dillman Range, and the planning effort associated with the eventual relocation of the Dillman Range.

 

The cost of travel for our Junior Shooting Team is fast out growing our available funds.  The funds raised at this event will ensure that our team continues to travel to shooting events. As most of you know, these junior shooters consistently place high and take trophies. They represent our Club and our Community with talent, dedication, commitment, and respect.  Lincoln Rifle Club’s Junior Program makes a huge difference in the lives of these shooters.  Let’s keep the tradition alive, and let’s keep our team on the road representing our Club and Community with honor and respect.

 

The Dillman Range is one of the finest outdoor pistol and rifle ranges in Northern California. Keeping the range in pristine condition continues to cost money and in today’s world the cost for tractors and heavy equipment just keeps rising. Additional funds are required to keep the berms in good shape, keep the weeds under control, and see to the daily repairs and maintenance. We are passionate about the Dillman Range and its place in our Community.  Help us keep it beautiful.

 

We know the time is coming when our Dillman Range will be surrounded by homes and new communities. Moving the range to a more remote location requires plans, submittals, and engineering. The Long Range Planning Committee continues to work with our real estate experts, Placer County planners, and our engineering and design professionals.  These activities all carry costs way beyond the annual budget of the Club. Funds from this event will ensure that our planning efforts continue to secure the future of our Dillman Range and our Club.
