Per the Club’s By-laws - Junior’s can range in age from 8 to 21. Membership is $20.00 per year. The Junior’s meet every Monday @ 5:00 PM at the Indoor Range in McBean Park. A Range fee of $1.00 for each relay session is currently collected from each shooter. The Junior’s Season runs with the school year from September to May. By Bill P(Edit) Junior Committee Junior Program Highlights: The 2007/08 junior program is beginning to ramp up for another successful season at the Lincoln Rifle club. As we head to the indoor range on Monday nights we look forward to increased junior memberships this year. Currently we have 35 junior members enrolled in the program and will continue to accept memberships throughout the season. The junior coaches would like to thank the adult club members for their support and understanding during the Monday night outdoor events. With the recently decreased availability of the outdoor range, their support and encouragement of the junior program was greatly appreciated. Competition Corner Update: As the 2008 season is just kicking off, competitions will begin during November and run through July 2008. Check the calendar for all junior events throughout the year. The advanced team was recently awarded 5th place in the NRA International Air Rifle Sectionals. This was a national match with over 600 competitors. The Lincoln Team members were; Jacob C(Edit), Brooke N(Edit), and Kaitlin P(Edit). We commend them on a job well done. Training Sessions: There will be a two day clinic hosted at Dillman Range on October 20th and 21st, 2007 beginning at 8:00 AM. This clinic will be hosted by USA Shooting coaches and cover mental & physical conditioning, positions, clothing and opportunities in the shooting sports. We will also have World Record holder, David Kines, onsite to share his experiences and assist with the training. There is both classroom as well as live fire exercises planned for this clinic. Beginners through advanced shooters are welcome to attend. The cost is $75.00 per student to cover expenses. Fundraising Activities: We have shirts, hats, and general merchandise available at the monthly club meetings. We will also have a couple of Raffles throughout the year so keep coming to the Club Meetings for a chance to win.
