A good way to get your “Work Assessment” signed off for the year is to join a Work Party at the Range Maintenance Day. Toward this end the Range Committee is soliciting a list of members and their particular skills such as:
Brick Layers, Carpenters, Cement Finishers, Heavy Equipment Operators, Painters, Plumbers, Surveyors, Well Diggers.
Clerical Skills-Writers of - Bid Document, Procedures, Procurement, etc.

The Lincoln Police Department has been in discussion with Len V(Edit) to update their scheduled days at the Dillman Outdoor Range to more closely fit in with their work shifts and training needs. They have given back some dates and asked for additional dates. Their new usage schedule will mostly be every other month and they will have the first Thursday and the Monday following that Thursday (Dawn to 2:00 PM). These dates are as follows:
Feb 1st & 8th; Mar 8th, Apr 5th & 9th; May 3rd & 7th. Jun 7th & 11th; Aug 2nd & 6th; Sep 6th & 10th, Oct 4th & 8th, Nov 1st & 5th, and Dec 6th & 10th.
Additionally, the Range Committee has defined the term “RAPID FIRE” as NO MORE THAN 1 SHOT PER SECOND. They have added an additional Range Rule under Item 4, new Section d - PERMISSION OF THE RANGE OFFICER IS REQUIRED BEFORE GOING BEYOND THE 100 YARD BERM. There will be a flag to be taken to the 100 yard berm to indicate that someone is out there.

The Sound Wall construction has been tabled until the Board of Director can review the NRA Range Report and make recommendations. Two different Match request for the 13th of October have been received by the Range committee, these Match Directors need to get together and resolve this date and time.

Remember, always follow the Safety Rules for our ranges and keep your muzzle pointed in a safe direction and your finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire your weapon. These simple rules would eliminate most of our accidental discharges.
