Text Box: KINETIC ENERGY Page 2 Text Box: The Range Committee will generally meet at the Indoor Range/Club House on the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. All club members are invited to attend. [Next meeting is 01/20/05] I invite any LRC Club Member interested in the goings on at the various ranges to attend these meetings. They will be held on the Third Thursday of each month at 7:00 P.M., at the Indoor Range. The New Shooting Events Calendar for the Dillman Outdoor Range and the Junior Program’s calendar are attached to this Newsletter. If you do not see something you would like, set up your own match, get a date(s) from the Range Committee, add the date to the calendar and run your match. The more the merrier. In addition, the web site is a good source of information about events, committee meetings, Club rules and similar items. The web site is also a way to contact Club members to get answer to your questions. Again, the answers will not be immediate, but may take a day or two to reach you, so allow some time. If you have web access, please use this resource. We have had a large influx of new members in the last several years and a lot of changes at the Dillman Range. These include an increase in hours available for use, more matches, the need for maintenance, etc. With this increase in usage, there has been some overlapping of activities. You may call 916-645-9350 to get a recorded message about activities, closures, work parties and the like involving the Dillman Outdoor Range. In addition, with many new members, there have been rules that have not been adhered to as well as probably should be. It is a Club rule that anyone using the Dillman Range, even when not open to the public, sign in on the form provided. This form is usually found on the clipboard on the table outside the “office”. Please make sure that you and your guest sign in. You need to enter the time you leave also. This has been something that has not been done by what may be a large number of users. Please follow the rules, which are posted on the Club’s Website, so that we have a safe facility to use. If you are not sure of something about using the Dillman Range, the range rules or other matters involving the Club, contact your sponsor or call the information line at 916-722-6510. The information line is NOT manned, so do NOT expect an immediate answer.
