Yearly Shooting Events:
{Eye and Ear protection always required.}
{Fee applies to each occurrence of the event.}

CCW: (Carry Concealed Weapons Permit - California Penal Code Section 12050) Classes start at $35.00 and will be available at least once each month. Depending on the county that you live in the proficiency requirements may vary. Some counties require a student range qualification sheet, some that you are able to shoot.. It is my understanding that all applicants are required to hit an 8” target at 10 yards. Currently the following counties have the following requirements for the initial permit:

	Amador requires a two day class.
	El Dorado, Nevada and Placer requires an 8 hour class.
	Renewal Permits usually require a minimum 4 hour class.
	(Placer now requires renewal class attendance 30 days before expiration of CCW.)

Trap:
	A sport in which a person shoots at clay disks, with a shotgun. The disk measure 4 5/16 inches in diameter and are thrown into the air, up to 60 miles an hour, by a machine contained in the traphouse. A 16 yard configuration is available at the Dillman Outdoor Range. A trapshooter stands behind the traphouse in one of five lanes (stations). Most competitions consist of 100 disks shot in groups of 25. The shooter fires five times from each of the five stations. Shooting events are held the 1st Sunday of each month and a fee is charged.
