Until recently applications for membership have only been available at club meetings. The only way to start the application process has been to attend a General Business Meeting held on the first Thursday of the month and find the membership table. Now membership applications can be obtained at the Dillman outdoor range and will soon be available online here. The membership process can now begin by emailing your contact information to LRC HQ ( lincolnrc(AT)sbcglobal.net ( Click on Link or Replace (AT) with @ )). All applicants must be a member of the NRA (or must join the NRA through our club) at the time of their application.

LRC can accept most forms of payment for both the LRC membership as well as the NRA membership. This includes VISA and MasterCard as well as cash, Money Orders and Cashiers or personal checks.

As of October 2011 there are two types of membership: Individual and Household.

Individual Membership Fees are:

A One-Time Initiation Fee $30.00

Annual Dues $60
Work Assessment $60 (waived first year and with work assessment credit)

NRA Annual Membership $35.00 (if not already a member)

Household Membership Fees are:

Initial Year Dues $200.00

This covers a family of 2 adults and all children aged 13 to 18 within the family unit.

Children under the age of 13 always shoot free at the Dillman Range

Yearly Renewal Dues $170
Work Assessment $60 (waived first year and with work assessment credit)

NRA Annual Membership $35.00 (if not already a member)

Both adults must be members of the NRA; however one adult can be an associate

member of the NRA (the NRA Associate Memberships sells for $10.00)

Membership Procedures

The following information lists the activities and steps required to become a full member of the Lincoln Rifle Club.

Your probationary period starts when you are introduced to the Club as a candidate for membership and you pay your fees. From that point, you can complete your probationary period in a minimum of six months or take as long as one year. At the end of one year, you must reapply. Your fees are forfeited.

During your probationary period, you will be granted the privilege of membership in the Club by paying no fee at the Dillman Range. You will also qualify to participate in any activities for Club members.

You will not be a voting member until your probationary period is successfully completed.

During the probationary period the applicant will:

1. Attend one General Business Meeting.

2.  Attend a 15-20 minute informal meeting with a Range Safety Officer regarding rules that are specific to the Dillman Shooting Range. Often applicants who arrive early enough (6:30PM or so) attend this session right after filling out the application paperwork prior to the start of the meeting. The class generally runs from approximately 7-7:20PM

3. Attend one session of the 1-hour LRC Safety Class that is generally held once per month on the 2nd Saturday of each month starting at 9am. A schedule of these classes is offered on the Club’s website.

4. Spend at least one-hour shooting at the Dillman Range under the supervision of the Range Safety Officer or his designee. You may shoot the firearm of your choice. When you arrive at the Dillman Range, introduce yourself to the Range Safety Officer and tell them why you are there.

Club Meetings & Dillman Range Rules Safety Class

Club meetings are held the first Thursday of each month starting at 7:30 PM. Meetings are held at the Pavilion across the parking lot from the Indoor Range building located inside McBean Park in Lincoln, CA.

This Dillman Range informal meeting with the Range Safety Officer is offered just prior to the Club's monthly meeting at 7:00 p.m.

Membership Cycle and Renewal

Membership is valid for twelve months from the time of joining. Membership renewals are based on when a member joined and dues were paid. Club membership will lapse at the end of the month which is 12 months after paying their dues. Renewals will be mailed out the month prior to the expiration date.

All members are encouraged to attend the monthly meetings and participate in as many club activities as possible.

About 5 times a year members will receive a copy of the club newsletter, "Kinetic Energy". The mailing label for the newsletter now shows the expiration date for the member.
