Date: Usually scheduled on Labor Day from 8:00am to 1:00am (range opens at 7:30). Check the calendar to confirm the schedule. Where: Dillman Range, Lincoln Rifle Club Entries: $5 charge. Advanced entries requested by Email. Pay at the range the day of the match. Equipment: This is primarily a match for service pistols, carry guns or equal. It is not a cast bullet match. Any semi-auto pistol in 9mm, 40 S&W, or 45 ACP with any iron sights or ammunition. Any revolver with iron sights, and any factory ammunition except magnum or 30 Carbine. Handloads for revolvers must be equivalent of 38 Special, 45 ACP or 45 Colt factory ammunition. Less velocity is all right. Competitors will not be allowed to adjust sights after the match begins. No screwdrivers allowed on the firing line. NEW: at 100 to 150 meters - Shooters may shoot any of three ways. 1. Standing, and may use the posts for support. 2. Sitting or kneeling, and may use cross-sticks or a staff for support. Kneeling rolls permitted. 3. Prone, no artificial support.
Course of fire: 60 rounds. The shooter may shoot the targets in any order.
50-yard or meter chickens - 20 shots for score. Off-hand (standing) only. No artificial support. 100-meter pigs -20 shots for score. Shooters may use the posts, cross-sticks or a staff for support. Kneeling or sitting permitted. Kneeling rolls permitted. Prone permitted, but no artificial support. 150 yard or 150-meter turkeys (shooter’s choice) - 20 shots for score. Shooter may use the posts for support. Accessories: Eye and ear protection required. Gloves are permitted. Spotting scopes and spotters permitted.
